Hyundai Hits The College Football Gridiron

Hyundai's integrated College Football "Show Your Loyalty" marketing campaign has all the trappings of becoming a powerful national campaign with regional media buys to leverage individual schools, and will include on-the-ground game day activities at 15 of the most legendary football programs in the country.
The campaign will probably benefit Hyundai's Southeast dealers the most since the interest and participation level with college football in the South is higher than any other region according to industry observers. And, an added plug for the campaign is the fact that college football is prime time on Saturdays with tens of millions of viewers watching from home, work, at sports bars and restaurants, among other venues.
Another All-Time Record
While some car companies struggled during September, Hyundai dealers across North America set another all-time record with 52,051 sold units- up 16% over last September- and causing HMAEVP Dave Zuchowski to remark "finishing September with such strong momentum is no small feat, considering the disappointing economic climate."
Automaker Also Sets September Sales Record
"Consumer demand remained strong, vehicle availability improved, and we've added yet another entry to our family off 40 mpg fuel economy vehicles with the all new Veloster."
September sales highlights include:
19,373 vehicles sold with 40 mpg fuel economy rating
Sonata- #1 overall sales with 18,181 units
Elantra- #2 overall sales with 14,386 units (outselling Honda Civic by over 1,000 units)
Veloster- 838 sold units through September
Santa Fe & Tucson-sales were up 67% and 36% respectively
Equus-292 units- 2,283 sales its launch
Areas That Need Attention
Unclear explanation of the warranty can lead to misunderstandings after the sale and the easiest way to avoid that is to remember that there are no bumper-to-bumper warranties. They are limited warranties!
Transferability is another common area of misunderstanding regarding the warranty. If an owner sells or trades their vehicle while under the 5/60 coverage, the balance of that coverage is transferable. After the 5/60 expires, the 10/100 powertrain coverage is not transferable.
For 5-year/unlimited mileage, customers get free road side assistance with a maximum of two service calls per year.

Elantra is 2012 North American Car of the Year

New Sales Record: 645,691 Sold Units

Hyundai continued its torrid pace to become the world's top rated carmaker as December sales reached a whopping 645,691 sold units--up 20%--and the Hyundai Elantra, one of the biggest surprises to emerge from the 2012 North American International Auto Show, nabbed the Car of the Year honors.
Elantra surprised most everyone, except the judges, who easily scored the Hyundai product over the highly touted Volkswagen Passat, a car that won a lesser award back in the Fall.
"The 2012 Elantra topped our list of sedans under $20,000 in our 2012 Sedan Buying Guide," wrote editor Chris Wardlaw. "If you're buying a new, affordable compact sedan and you don't test drive the Elantra, you've done yourself a huge disservice."
Tom Blackett, Vehix contributing editor, wrote that the Elantra is "arguably more stylish than the Corolla, Sentra and overhauled Civic, sufficiently comfortable, fun to drive, boasting a 40-mpg EPA rating across all trim levels, and offered with features like an optional heated rear seat, the Elantra represents an excellent overall package and a real-world case study in value."
What about the warranty guys and gals? You missed that entirely so we'll do it for you?a 10-year/100,000 mile Powertrain Warranty, 5-year/60,000 mile New Car Warranty, 5-year/Unlimited Miles Roadside Assistance, and it's termed America's  Best Warranty!
To bring any of the competitors up to speed with any Hyundai profuct, simply add between $1,200 to $1,800 to the vehicle cost just to match Hyundai's outstanding warranty.
In other news, Hyundai vehicle sales totaled 50,765 in December to bring 2011's total sales to 645,691, up 20% over the previous model year.
                Other facts include:
*The Alabama-built Sonata set a full-year sales record with sales of 225,961?up 15%.
*In December, 18,920 vehicles were sold with 40 mpg fuel economy ratings and year to date 40 mpg sales were 241,132.
*The Elantra, North American Car of the Year, set a yearly sales record of 186,361?up 41%.
Hyundai praised the sales people at its dealerships, saying "without them, this wouldn't have been possible."
